The Tambour Theater at the Université de Rennes 2 has agreed to set sail, yet again, on board the Court Métrange vessel for an evening of feature-lengths focused on phantoms and ocean legends. Rest assured, you won’t be doomed to sail and haunt the briny deeps like those you will be meeting throughout the evening, but rather sirendipitously called to sink back into two (2) resplendent productions from the 50s.

In the early 1900s, a London widow named Lucy leaves behind a hustling life on the Thames for a cottage rental in the seaside village of Whitecliff along with her daughter and maid. There, Lucy becomes acquainted with the ghost of the former owner, a gruff and wayward, old sea captain. A strangely endearing one, too.
