For its 19th edition, the Court Métrange Festival will be diving into the underbelly of the human soul by probing the hypnotic and hallucinatory confines of Robert Eggers’s second film entitled The Lighthouse (2019). Verging on delusion, this occult and anxiety-triggering work carried out behind closed doors skims ever so titillatingly the surface of the themes of solitude, ocean legends, mythology, literature, and the history of film. A "post-horror" sin aqua non that philosophers Maude Robert and Gwendal Parmentier will gladly autopsy in your absorbing company. The Lighthouse will be screened the same night – Thursday, September 21 – at 9:00 pm at the TNB Theater.
