 Sweeping away all too present notions of pride and prejudice in the realms that puzzle, petrify, and put under a spell, a feminine stance is emerging behind the camera, with a growing number of female writers and filmmakers, as well as in theaters where women are occupying more seats. But just who are these women calling the shots, changing history as we know it, and leaving their mark on genre film? We’ll be going into more detail on the matter via film review Sorociné devoted to not only dissecting genre productions on screen, but also to shining the spotlight on women and genre minorities both in front of the camera and behind it.
