For the first time ever, Court Métrange is pleased as punch to present an evening that only has eyes for LGBTQIA+ Fantastic film. For these productions to bask in the limelight as they were intended and so deserve, the Festival has entrusted the TNB Theater in Rennes with a lineup of shorts that sounds out, fleshes out, and draws out the diversity exemplifying LGBTQIA+ through a Fantasy-faced prism. In the theater following this screening co-hosted in partnership with François Marache (Founder and Director of Queer mais Trash in Brussels) will be a Q&A session. The Queer Métrange screening is in competition for the Queer Métrange People’s Award.

François Marache fondateur et directeur artistique de Courts mais Trash et Queer mais Trash (Bruxelles), version alternative et non-binaire de cet événement qui célèbre le cinéma indépendant en se centrant sur la communauté LGBTQIA +. Queer Mais Trash est un festival de cinéma non-binaire qui se déroule quelques jours avant la Pride à Bruxelles. Il est la version LGBTQIA+ du festival bruxellois Courts Mais Trash est permet à des films indépendants qui ne trouvent pas toujours leur place ailleurs d’exister et de circuler. Ces films, regroupés sous le terme « Trash », ne sont pas forcément provocateurs ou choquants. Ils sont aussi et surtout alternatifs, politiques ou décalés. L’objectif de Queer mais Trash est également d’ouvrir la culture LGBTQIA+ et de la rendre accessible au plus grand nombre.

After the show & spiel session at the TNB Theater, make your way over to Village Métrange for a "not-yet" nightcap. To finish up the evening’s musical and eye-popping performances on a sequin-studded, razzle-dazzle, bangling and spangling, all-that-glitters-is-gold-and-bold note, Court Métrange invites you to dive into the Drag universe. The rules are simple: under the aegis of the saucy and sassy Eva Porée (Drag Queen performer and Dragopole member), two (2) artists will face off in a song-and-dance competition. This is one racy Cat Fight fairyland you will not want to miss and whose outcome will depend solely on you, dear public, by dint of Dolly’s doled out, a one-of-a-kind currency bred specially for the evening.
